Here it is .... my first Temari! Be warned its addictive, no sooner than I finished it I wanted to start another but it was already 2 am! I am absolutely facinated by it and want to try new designs, perhaps even manage a complicated one eventually.
If you scroll down there are some links on the right.

This is the first temari I've ever seen....or heard of!...lol...So, I had to google it. So, originally it was a Japanese ball toy? and now stitchers are stitching incredible designs on them for decorative pieces? You're so craft Michelle! Your temari is beautiful. Would loved to have seen you make it!
Congratulations!! Welcome to the addiction! LOL! Actually, I haven't done one in a while, but the ones I display in my glass-topped table always receive comments from visitors. If you have not already visited this site, please do: http://www.temarikai.com/ It's got a wealth of information, free patterns, and you can sign up for a Yahoo group (which actually stays pretty much on the topic of temari...weird, I know!!) Everyone is very helpful there. And you absorb so much just reading even if you don't ask questions!!
How interesting!!! I've never seen one before!!!! Your first attempt is just lovely!!!
Michelle, that is WONDERFUL!!!! I've made 1 temari once. FOr some reason, I could NOT get that south pole and north pole correct. Mine turned out ok but I decided I didn't want to do that again....I guess it's that fear of high school algebra that scared the bejeebers out of me, LOL!!!
You did great!
