Update on latest sticthing
Hi everyone,
its been a while again. I have been stitching ornies and miniatures, here are some to show.
This is a 1:12 scale miniature embroidery. Its for the Mediterranean house, more details on my miniature blog. I also have been working on some WIP mentioned before in this blog. But as I have spread myself over so many hobbies, I am a bit slow in producing things but at least I never get bored, lol!
I will have more pictures up very soon as I have a couple more ornaments done but no pictures yet.

new blocks from magazine series
Added two more, but had to change the fabric on the second one as I didnt get it right the first time :)
Sailboat block
Shoo-fly Block also known as Puss-in-the-corner or Kitten-in-the-corner
I also learned how important it is to iron the seams the correct direction. The block lies very flat.

Alex's Quilt progress
I have finished 5 rows of 4 blocks so far, just designed the pattern for the border on graph paper
Learning loads with this project. The blocks are 9 inches squared. I am using foundation piecing method, but find lots of fabric is wasted especially on making some of the triangular parts.

Update on projects
These are some of the fabrics that will be in Alex's quilt, she loves turquise so will add two fabrics in that colour, also black to emphasize the colours.
These will be in the center of the block, they are 3 inches, the block will be 9 inches. I fussy cut the centers.
Here you can see the turquise and black fabric.
This is Sonya's quilt, I decided on this pattern, with white borders, more pics coming soon as I have added more hexagons to it since the photo.

Kathryn's Quilt finished!!!!!!
I could only manage straight lines with the sewing machine. I would like to try hand quilting next, perhaps on the hexagon quilt for Sonya.
