Fabric Embellished Ornaments

I decided to add fabric to these ornaments.

Usually I love the organic look of the linen and keep it simple.

But was very pleased with the results of the following ornaments.

I hope you liked my fabric choices, I really enjoyed sewing these.

 

Scrappy crochet afgan

Just finished my first afgan blanket. I used left over yarns and tried to just make it scrappy.

My daughter Kathryn loves to wrap herself in warm blankets when watching TV, so thought to make one for her with wool. I added a picot edge too, :)

Latest Ornaments April 2013

 

I have been enjoying stitching these Santas, I always do :D

 

 

Recently I had an opportunity to make some changes to the pattern for a customer on etsy, it was fun!

WIP Knitting and Crochet

I have lots of WIPs here is an update of the wool patchwork.

The blocks are made with knitting and crochet.

 

I also have this crochet blanket with bright colours and black borders.

 

 

First knitting block

We have moved country and most of my arts and crafts are still in boxes.

 

However a new magazine has started here and it has an interesting project , a patchwork knitted  blanket. It cought my eye and thought why not, an opportunity to start some knitting.
 

 

 My first block is in garter stitch, a simple one but very excited about the other blocks .The colours are lovely too.

 

 

 

 

Furthermore, this year I would like to finish two quilts for my daughters, I have the tops ready, they just need quilting. Obviously I would like to try to finish some cross stitching projects, when I find them :)

 

Luckily, I do have my Christmas ornament mag, so would like to make some ornies every now and then. I have finished two already and will post them soon.
